The Step Diet was recently ranked one of America's healthiest diets behind an in-patient diet treatment center and ahead of Weight Watchers. How are people losing lots of weight? It's simple - they're walking. The Step Diet counts steps not calories. Adding just 500 steps a day which is about 3 to 5 minutes of walking is the starting point. Then every week you add another 500 steps. By the end of 12 weeks you will be at 10,000 steps which is about 5 miles and takes about an hour of so. At first you won't be changing what you eat just cutting back about 25%. We love to hike. Hiking doesn't have to mean mountain climbing or even walking on rocks. Once you have worked up to 5 miles head into the forest for the best walk of your life - perhaps 2nd only to walking on the beach.
